Gregory Anthony ?Greg? Bowers, 51, died August 8, 2008, at his residence He was born February 23, 1957, in Lima, Ohio to Anthony P. and Audra Talboom Bowers, who survive in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Bowers was a self-employed contractor. He was a member of Carpenters union Local 372, the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 370, Lima, and a past member of CIAO. He attended church services at many different locations in the Lima area with caring friends and family. He enjoyed woodworking, the outdoors and helping others. He was an avid watcher of Joel Osteen and the Lakewood Church sermons. He was an avid Lima Central Catholic football fan. He was a devoted son, brother and uncle. He will be greatly missed by family and the many very loving friends who he has touched, helped and cared about throughout the years. He has 24 nieces and nephews and a great-nephew whom he adored, loved spending time with and cherished the moments watching them grow up. Survivors also include three brothers, Jim (Jacquie) Bowers and Randy (Pam) Bowers, both of Lima, Ohio, and Jeff (Kellie) Bowers, of Michigan; four sisters, Joann (Chris) Vermillion, of Kentucky, Sandy (Paul) Wolfe, of Lima, Ohio, Diane Hullibarger, of Cairo, Ohio, and Kim (Larry) Bader, of Lima, Ohio; 24 nieces and nephews; and a great-nephew. Services will begin at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. David M. Ross will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
