Gregory P. Woten, Sr.

Gregory Woten Sr., 63, of Lima passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022. He was born on August 31, 1959 to the late Thomas and Doris Woten.

Gregory was a mechanic and loved cars, motorcycles, and boats. He enjoyed going fishing, camping, boating, and of course watching his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt Sr. He could fix anything and loved his family dearly.

He is survived by his children: Sonya Woten, Gregory (Megan) Woten Jr., Andrew (Ashley) Woten, Austin (Jackie) Woten, Tabitha (Jeremy) Gossard, and Melissa (Marquis) Bankston; grandchildren: Faith, Destiny, Kaylin, Jade, Caleb, Austin Jr., Arianna, Isaiah, Aliah, Piper, Salena, T’Andre, Austin Taylor, Wyatt, Jacob and Dominick; 4 great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings: Thomas “Butch” (Joyce) Woten Jr., Rhonda Wilson, and Timmy (Dee) Woten; sister-in-law, Dorothy Woten; brother-in-law, Warren Iiames; and mother of his children, Theresa Mort.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Iiames; brother, Steve Woten; brother-in-law, Yaz Wilson; and fiancé, Dora Spence.

A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima. Friends may visit from 11 a.m. until the time of service on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Delphos.
