Guy M. Devasher 75, died at 2:05 a.m. July 20, 2007, at his residence. He was born November 6, 1931, in Simpson County, Kentucky, to Herbert L. and Ima M. Rush Devasher, who preceded him in death. On May 4, 1985, he married Marlene Thomas, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Devasher had been an engineer for CSX Railroad. He grew up in the Baptist church. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, serving from September 19, 1951, to September 18, 1955. He was an avid fisherman. Survivors also include a daughter, Kathleen Hensley, of Delphos, Ohio; three grandchildren, Jessica Hensley, Katherine Woods and Joshua Woods; a brother, Wilburn Devasher, of Largo, Florida; two sisters, Betty Fleming, of Franklin, Kentucky, and Dot (Bob) Hester, of Ekron, Kentucky; and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by three brothers, George Devasher, James Devasher and Harold Devasher. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, with military rites by VFW Post 1275. The Rev. Tim Burden and Chaplain Richard Coon will officiate. Burial of the cremains will be at a later date. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
