Gwendolyn Dankirt

Gwendolyn A. Dankirt 70, died at 7:54 a.m. April 7, 2010, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. She was born April 1, 1940, in St. Mary?s to Bern and Margaret Duncan Lutterbeck, who preceded her in death. She married Dorsey Vulgamott, who preceded her in death. She then married George Whited, who died in 1977. She then married Ernest Theordore Dankirt, who died in 1981. Mrs. Dankirt was a homemaker. Survivors include three sons, Jamie Vulgamott, of Posen, Illinois, Nichols (Darlene) Vulgamott, of Decatur, Indiana, and Mickel (Barb LaRue) Whited, of Lima, Ohio; five daughters, Wauneta Hadding, Laura (Jim) Biederman, Candy Elkhart and Marie Boroff, all of Lima, Ohio, and Heidi (Scott) Lamb, of Cairo; 28 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Moneen Wurster, of St. Mary?s. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Green and Marcella Sexton; two grandsons, William Forest Sexton Jr., and Terry Gene Elkhart; and a brother, Ermil Lutterbeck. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor J. Randy Davis will officiate. Burial will be in Shawnee Cemetery.
