Harold Johnston

Harold Hugh Johnston 77, died at 8:03 a.m. October 15, 2007, at The Ridge at Shawnee. He was born January 6, 1930, in Weston, Ohio to Alvin and Ida Johnston, who preceded him in death. On March 20, 1955, he married Jean Ondrik, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Johnston retired as an engineer from Conrail. He was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. He was an Army veteran. Survivors also include a son, Johnny Johnston, of Summerville, S.Carolina; a daughter, Janet (Roy) Patton, of Lima, Ohio; a brother, Paul (Virginia) Johnston; two sisters, Margaret Walker and Karlyn Johnston; four grandchildren, Ron Kutter, Eric Kutter, Daniel Kutter and Zachary Johnston; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Father William Rose will officiate. Interment will be in the Gethsemani Cemetery Mausoleum.
