Harold Edward Mull

Harold Edward Mull, 84, passed away at 4:22 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, at his home in Lima.

Harold was born on March 3, 1938 in Lima, Ohio, to John Edward and Mary Evelyn (Williams) Mull.  On July 4, 1960 he married JoAnn (Deto) Mull who passed away July 13, 1967.  On July 20, 1968 he then married JoAnn (Gannon) Mull, who preceded him in death June 9, 2012.

Harold served in the U.S. Navy for 6 years and was a guard at the State Prison in Lima for 22 years.  He enjoyed fishing, garage sales, racing, and Bluegrass music.  Harold dearly loved his family.

He is survived by his daughters: Kathy “Sis” (Tom) Cole and Pam (Ron) Patterson; sons: Rick Mull, John (Lisa) McBride, Jim McBride, Harold (Lynda) Mull Jr., and Eddie Mull; twenty-five grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; cousin, Chuck “Bud” (Alice) Mull; many nieces and nephews; and longtime family friend, Helen Rolsten.

In addition to both wives and his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty (Mull) Custer and Bernice (Mull) Dugan.

The family will receive friends from 2 – 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  The funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 6, 2023 at the funeral home.  Pastor Neal Whitney will officiate.  Burial will follow at Allentown Cemetery, Lima.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
