Harold Nungester

HAROLD E. NUNGESTER, 68, died at 6:45 a.m. March 13, 2007, at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born May 11, 1938, in Lima to Everett L. and Mary A. Hawk Nungester, who preceded him in death. Mr. Nungester had worked for Master Maintenance, Lowe's, Brothers Four, Vistron and the Lima Fire Department. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and the Amateur Trapshooting Association and a member of the Lima Sabres Shooting Association. He enjoyed cooking, reading, gardening, hunting, fishing, trapshooting and spending time with his children and grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Sabrina (Brian) Reynolds, of Spencerville, and Paige (Robert) Starr, of Lima; two sons, Harold "Hank" Nungester, of Lima, and Nathan (Misty) Nungester, of Delphos; five grandchildren, Destiny Tayor,Ada; Jessica Stinebuck,Lima; Corina Reynolds,Spencerville; Tyler Reynolds, Spencerville; and a grandson on the way; a brother, Edward (Susie) Nungester, of North Carolina; two sisters, Helen Eckenwiler, of Bluffton, and Dorothy Melvin; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Jerome "Jerry" Nungester and 2 nephews, Eddie Nungester and John Cotterman. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor James Neighbors will officiate. Burial will be in Salem Mennonite Cemetery, Elida. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
