Harry L. Stokes,
84, died at 12:14 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, at Lima Memorial Health System in Lima, Ohio.
Harry was born on Thursday, December 8, 1932, in Lima, Ohio, to Earl and Celesta Verna (Hall) Stokes. On Saturday, February 8, 1958, he married Janet P. Parshall who preceded him in death on December 5, 1996.
Harry worked at Randall Bearings in Lima and was a member of the Eagles, the Moose Lodge, and the Orioles.
He is survived by: sons, James Parshall Stokes of Lima, Garth Adam Stokes of Lima; daughter, Julia Lynn Stokes-Hearn of Florida; grandchildren, Kenneth Baker, James Dale Hearn, Nicholas Hearn, Nathan Hearn, Crystal Hearn and Alyssa Hearn; two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: seven brothers, Dick, Hewitt, Donald, Glenn, Earl Jr., Chuck and David Stokes; four sisters, Mary Elinore Nettles, Verna Isabel Davis, Patricia Joan Needham and Donna Kay Shibler.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
Harry was part of a Legacy of twelve brothers and sisters that’s lasted over 103 years.
