79, died at 10:55 p.m. September 27, 2005, at Lima Convalescent Home. He was born September 21, 1926, in Warren to Harry W. and Ruth Bell Minton, who preceded him in death. On September 19, 1959, he married Iona L. Bowsher, who survives. They had just celebrated their 46th anniversary. Mr. Minton was owner/operator of the Imperial Caf? for 50 years. He was a life member of Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge 54 and a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275. He was an Army Air Corps veteran serving from March 5, 1945, to November 11, 1946. Before his illness, he loved to read and work crossword puzzles. He loved his dog Scout. He was a man of great personal dignity, who will be sorely missed by family and friends. Survivors also include a daughter, Vickye (Tom) Lewis of Zanesville, Ohio; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Coolahan; two grandchildren, Adam Lewis and Leigh-ann Lewis; and several cousins in Warren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Michael Lewis. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. Tina Dietsch will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 1275. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
