Helen M. Allen,

96, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on June 25, 2015 while she was surrounded by her loving family.

She was born November 2, 1918 in Lima, Ohio to the late Catherine Martha Renn and Ross Earl Moorman. On September 2, 1940 she married Glenn J. Allen, at St. John's Church, Lima, OH. Glenn preceded her in death on July 25, 2002.

Mrs. Allen was a lifelong resident of Lima; she attended and graduated from Lima South High School and Fredericks Beauty Academy.

Mrs. Allen was a loving mother and homemaker and previously worked at Westinghouse as a motor winder and at Betmar Beauty Shoppe as a beautician.

Mrs. Allen was a member and former chaplain of The Daughters of Isabella and a member of Faith Missionary Church.

Helen had a beautiful smile and a great sense of humor. She loved working a cross word puzzle and studied her Bible. She loved the Lord and always put her family first.

Mrs. Allen is survived by 3 sons, David Lynn (Linda) Allen of San Antonio, Texas, John Edward (Kerri) Allen of Lima and Gregory Lee (Barbara) Allen of Elida, 19 Grandchildren, 45 Great-Grandchildren and 13 Great-Great-Grandchildren, two son-in-laws Steve Scheid and John Hunsaker, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister Mary C. Sneary, two daughters Kathleen Sue Hunsaker, Beverly Elaine Scheid, a son Terry Dean Allen, and a granddaughter Maria Annette Hunsaker.

Friends and Family may visit and celebrate Helen's life at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral home on Sunday from 2 pm - 6 pm. Funeral Service will be Monday at 10:00 am. Rev. Jim Menke will officiate. Burial Service immediately following at Memorial Park Cemetery.
