Helen Laremore Fournier 96, died at 2:10 a.m. March 3, 2010, at Lima Memorial Health System. She was born July 22, 1913, in Lima to Ernst L. and Bessie G. Miller Hartman, who preceded her in death. On Dec. 5, 1936, she married Lorrent E. Fournier, who died July 21, 1969. Mrs. Fournier lived in Lima for all but two years of her life. She was a graduate of Lima South High School. She worked at DWG Cigar factory on North Main Street until she got married. She was a life member of West Elm United Church of Christ, now Faith Christian Church of Shawnee Road. Until a heart attack slowed her down at 96, she was an active member of the Willing Workers at the church, AARP, WCF and the Senior Citizens. She loved reading, traveling and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include four children, James Fournier, of Pleasant Lake, Ind., Jacqueline (David) Seng, of Cadiz, Ky., Edward Fournier, of Lima, and Sharon (James) Weaver, of Deland, Fla.; two stepsons, Eugene Fournier, of San Clemente, Calif., and Leona Fournier, of Napa, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Thomas Fournier, of Belleville, Mich., Teresa (Steve) Antuna, of Canton, Mich., Timothy Fournier, of Angola, Ind., Deborah (Steve) Doboze, of Charlotte, N.C., Christine (Joe) Andary, of Shreveport, La., David (Robbie) Seng, of Houston, Texas, Wendy Raabe, of Lima, Steven Clark, of Angola, Ind., and Suzanne (George) Villalobos, of Deland, Fla.; 10 greatgrandchildren, Nicholas Fournier and Rebecca Fournier, both of Belleville, Mich., Ashley Antuna and Andrea Antuna, both of Canton, Mich., Stephen Doboze and Megan Doboze, both of Charlotte, N.C., Jake Raabe and Tessa Raabe, both of Lima, and Addelyn Villalobos and Zachary Villalobos, both of Deland, Fla.; and three nieces and nephews, Sue (Jack) Evans and Dan (Marlene) Graf, both of Wapakoneta, and Linda (Steve) Hyslop, of Hilton Head Island, S.C. She was preceded in death by two brothers, George Leroy and Ernst ?Bud? Hartman; a sister, Margaret Graf; and a nephew, Robert Hartman. Services will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. The Rev. John Mummert will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
