Helen Knapp

Helen Knapp, 82, passed away at 9:21 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.

Helen was born on September 30, 1937, in Bell Center, Ohio to the late Roy and Clara Bell (Jones) Byrd.  On she married Robert “Bob” Burke, who preceded her in death.

Helen was a homemaker.  She loved to go dancing, bowling, fishing as well as playing cards and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Bobby (Chrystal) Burke; grandchildren: Ada Hicks, Trisha (Bill) Huber, Anthony (Amber) Steele, Dustin (Ladina) Byrd, Donald (Jamie) Byrd and Tiara Hicks; great-grandchildren: Raven Steele, Chelsea (Jay Ward) Thomas, Jaden Byrd, Carter Byrd, Patrick Byrd, Vincent Byrd, Savannah Steele, Traci Steele, Jacqueline Steele, Preston Steele, Courtney Byrd, Jacob Byrd and Allison Byrd; great-great-grandchildren Camden Ward and Kamyah Ward; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by daughter, Margaret Steele; great-grandchild, Baby M.; great-grandson, Anthony Steele Jr. and sisters: Mary, Norma, Juanita, Judy and Frances; and brother-in-law, Donald Burke.

There will be no public visitation or service.
