Helen Lyle

Helen Elizabeth Lyle, 85, died at noon March 11, 2008, at Richland Manor Nursing Home, Bluffton. She was born December 22, 1922, in Holland, Ohio, to Glen C. and Margaret Keeler Ebeling, who preceded her in death. On March 30, 1946, she married Richard Dale Lyle, who died April 29, 1982. Mrs. Lyle was a member of Cairo United Methodist Church, Cairo, and its Women?s Circle. She was active at the Allen County Senior Citizens Center. She loved her grandchildren, crocheting and needlepoint. Survivors include four children, William G. (Debb) Lyle, of Elida, Robert Lyle, of Ada, Janet (Tim) Phalen, of Lima, and James (Denise) Lyle, of Spencerville; and 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Jeremy, Heather and Anthony Lyle; a brother, Daniel (Alberta) Ebeling; and a daughter-in-law, Chris Lyle. Services will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor James Lyle will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Cairo United Methodist Church.
