Helen Marie Moody, 93, died at 9:20 p.m. September 18, 2008, at Lima Convalescent Home. She was born July 12, 1915 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Wade and Vera Hibbard Parker, who preceded her in death. On April 3, 1938, she married Francis Moody, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mrs. Moody had been a secretary at the Hearing Aid Center for several years and had been a beautician. She was a member of Central Christian Church, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of its women's group, where she held several positions. She was a graduate of the Columbus Beauty School. She enjoyed winters in Florida for several years. Survivors also include two daughters, Carolyn (Ted) Moser, of Palmyra, Va., and Nancy (Jim) Woodward, of Bellefontaine; a son, David (Tina) Moody, of Lima; a sister-in-law, Christine O'Hara, of Marysville; and seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Parker; and two sisters, Stella Clark and Aimee Masters. Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday in the Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. The Rev. Mark Tisch will officiate. Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday at the mausoleum.
