Helen Louise Overly

93, died at 10:45 PM on November 12, 2017, at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.

Helen was born on May 7, 1924, in Dola, Ohio, to the late George E. Reth and Orra O. (Bowman) Reth.  On July 13, 1947, she married Truman C. Overly Jr, he preceded her in death on January 25, 2010.

Helen was a member of Zion Lutheran Church; and Edgewood Assoc. She also had worked at MCL Cafeteria as a baker. She volunteered for many years at Lima Memorial Hospital. She loved to crochet and really loved to talk to people.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Louise (John P.) Norman, of Lima, OH, and Linda Sue (Clifford) Lindstrom, of Lima, OH, a son, Charles Wilbur (Alice) Overly, of Lima, OH; a granddaughter, Hannah Mariah Tooker and a great grandchild, Reed Tooker; a sister, Lavonne Woodward, Arlington, OH.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio and one hour prior to the funeral on Friday.

A funeral service will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 17, 2017 at Zion Lutheran Church, Lima, Ohio. Pastor Mark Bauer will officiate.
