87, died the morning of Monday, March 10, 2014, at her residence in Lima, Ohio.
Helen was born on Monday, February 28, 1927, in Lima, Ohio, to Elmer Utterback and Isabelle (Harriuf) Utterback.
Helen married Edgar Wilson Sawmiller in July of 1945. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1974. She had worked at Lima Electric, Westinghouse, PTC, Superior Metels, and Triplett. She was a member of Lima Eagles Aerie #370, Spencerville American Legion Auxiliary and the Spencerville VFW Auxiliary.
She is survived by: a daughter Tanya (David) Clark, of Lima, OH; a son Daryl (Gina) Sawmiller, of Elida, OH; five grandchildren Scott Clark, Jodi (Joe) Rigsby, Erin (Shane) Nickles, Martin Wyss, and Staci Wyss; five great grandchildren Caden, Hunter, Madison, Chloe, and J.J.
She is preceded and death by: two sisters, Imogene Bowsher, and Margarete Hefner.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio. Also visitation on Friday from 9:00 A.M. to till time of service.
A Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 AM on Friday, March 14, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. Pastor Ed Jarrell will officiate.
Interment will be in Hartford Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lima Memorial Hospital Dialysis Unit or Allen County Council on Aging, 215 N. Central Avenue, Lima, Ohio 45801.
