Helen M. Scholfield,

93, died at 4:00 AM on Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Van Crest Nursing Home in Delphos, Ohio.

Helen was born on Monday, April 03, 1922, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Clifford and November (Moyers) Driver. On Thursday, May 23, 1946, she married Paul E. Scholfield. He preceded her in passing on November 1, 2010.

Helen graduated from LaFayette Jackson High School in 1940. She worked in the office of Dr. Burton McCroba, DDS, the Elida School cafeteria and the Elida Library. She later volunteered at Lima Memorial Hospital for several years as an information hostess. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, Elida, Ohio. The following words share the importance of Helen's heritage: To be born Welsh, is to be born privileged, not with a silver spoon in your mouth, but music in your blood, and poetry in your soul.

She is survived by: daughters, Cathy (Ralph) Knauer, West Chester, OH and Debi Scholfield, Columbus, OH; son, Mike (Lynn) Scholfield, Lima, OH; grandchildren, Brett Knauer, West Chester, OH, Jodi Knauer, Alexandria, VA, Lori (Phillip) Fricks, Cicero, IN, and Jenifer (Steve) Smith, New Haven, IN.

She is preceded in death by: son, Rick Scholfield; sister, Mary Driver and infant sister, Martha Jayne Driver.

A celebration of Helen's life will be held Monday, August 3, 2015 at 1 P.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. before the celebration. Interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida, Ohio.
