Helena Boyd,
94, formerly of Lima, passed away December 8, 2011 at Blossom Hill Care Center in Huntsburg, Ohio.
Helena was born on July 22, 1917 to Joseph and Philomena (Klausing) Clement in Delphos, Ohio and they both preceded her in death.
She married William "Bill" Boyd in 1938 in Lima, Ohio and he preceded her in death in 1976.
Surviving are her loving children Nancy (Rich) Sementelli of Concord,Ohio, Rebecca (Arthur) Rojas of Hammond, Indiana, a special niece, Cindy (Tim) Parker of Lima, Ohio and a brother Kenneth (Coral Ann) Clement of Lima, Ohio. Also surviving are her grandchildren Tony (Chris) Sementelli, Tina (Al) Martello, Teri (Matt) Hamulak, Stephen (Susan) Barnett; and she was a great grandmother to eleven wonderful children she adored.
She was preceded in death by five brothers Frank, Gilbert, James, Joseph, Carl and four sisters Magdalene, Henrietta, Dottie and Kathleen.
Helena was an active member of St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio. She loved cooking, sewing, attending the Senior Center and visiting her many friends and relatives.
A Mass of Christion Burial will be at 11:30 AM on Friday, December 16, 2011 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio with Rev David M. Ross officiating.
Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. A parish wake service will be held at 7:30 PM.
Memorial Contributions in her memory may be made to Lima Central Catholic High School where she was a dedicated cafeteria employee for 25 years; or to the Activities Department at Blossom Hill Care Center which she enjoyed so much.
