Henry MARBLE

HENRY WARD MARBLE, 91, died at 5:15 a.m. March 8, 2006, at Sylvan Nursing Center, Clearwater, Fla. He was born May 28, 1914, in Athol, Mass., to Louis and Gertrude Ward Marble, who preceded him in death. On Jan. 18, 1939, he married Agnes Scherbring, who died April 17, 2002. Mr. Marble worked at Westinghouse in Lima for 40 years, retiring in 1976. Survivors include two daughters, Judy (Allen) Walker of Plano, Texas, and Nancy (Ed) Cooksley of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; two brothers, Donald Marble of Farmington, N.H., and Richard Marble of East Long Meadow, Mass.; a sister, Kathryn Marble of Athol, Mass.; five grandchildren, Susan (Rich) Sharick, Steven Grubenhoff, Scott (Stephanie) Grubenhoff, Christine (Sean McArdle) Cooksley, and Jennifer (James) Malz; and seven great-grandchildren, Joseph Sharick, Emily Sharick, Taylor Malz, Jennifer Grubenhoff, Jacob Grubenhoff, Jillian Grubenhoff and Dylan McArdle. He was preceded in death by an infant son, two brothers, Kingsley and Robert Marble, and a sister, Jane Marble. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. The Rev. Stephen Blum will officiate. Interment will be in Gethsemani Mausoleum, Lima.
