Henry A. Niese, 78 of Lima, Ohio died on Monday, March 21, 2011, at Springview Manor Nursing Home in Lima, Ohio.
Born Saturday, March 18, 1933 in Putnam County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Ferdinand Niese and the late Margaret Kaufman Niese. He was the husband of Helen Kramer Niese.
He was employed by Ford Lima Engine Plant.
On October 24, 1959, he married Helen Kramer in Kalida, Ohio at St. Michael's Church. She survives. He served in the United States Army from May 22, 1956 to February 26, 1958. He was a member of St. Gerard's Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. He was a member of the Eagle Aerie 370, Lima and a former member of Kof C and Senior Citizens. He attended Ford Retirees Functions, and was a member of the Parkinson Support Group of Allen County. He loved Model Railroading and spending time with his grandkids and family.
Surviving are sons, John (Sheila) Niese of Chesterfield, MO and Joe (Colleen) Niese of Vancouver, BC, daughter, Susan (John) Berding of Cincinnati, OH, Ten Grandchildren, David Niese, Daniel Niese, Mary Beth Niese, Michael Henry Niese, Olivia Niese, Alexandria Niese, Olivia Niese, Alexandria Niese, Katie Berding, Claire Berding, Mary Berding, Margaret Berding, a brother, Donald (Frances) Niese of Ottawa, OH, sister, Rita Langhals of Kalida, OH., Sister-in-law Ruth Niese of Leipsic, Ohio.
He was predeceased by brothers, Charles Niese and Wilbert Niese, a brother-in-law Bernard Langhals, a sSister-in-Law Erma Jean Niese.
Visitation will be Friday, March 25, 2011 from 2:00 to 8:00 P.M. with a wake service at 8:00 P.M.
A Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at St. Gerard's Catholic Church with the Father James McDonald officiating. Interment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima, OH. Memorial contributions may be sent to National Parkinson Foundation, P.O. Box 5018, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5018.
