Henry Lewis Windle
75, died at 1:45 AM on Monday, December 22, 2014, at Mennonite Memorial Home Health Services, in Bluffton, Ohio.
He had previously worked at the Lima State Hospital, then retired from K-Mart as a stocker. He was a 12 year veteran of the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He had been a member of the Lima Eagles Aerie #370. He enjoyed watching football especially The OSU Buckeys and the Cleveland Browns.
Henry was born on May 10, 1939, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Clyde V. Windle and Florence (Katen) Windle.
He is survived by: a sister-in-law, Naomi Windle and a brother-in-law Robert Ogle, of Lima, OH and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
He was preceded in death by; three sisters, Mary Ogle, Ruth Wireman and Dorothy Keiffer; two brothers, Richard Windle and John Windle; a sister-in-law Janet Windle.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. Pastor David Coffey will officiate.
Interment will be in Ward Cemetery, Lima, Ohio. Military service conducted by VFW Post 1275 at the cemetery.
