HOMER HOWARD FURR Sr., 79, died at 9:35 a.m. July 25, 2004, at his residence. He was born February 13, 1925, in Alger, Ohio to Isaac H. and Elizabeth Hoover Furr, who preceded him in death. On September 8, 1973, in Alger, Ohio, he married Gloria Moralez, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Furr had worked at the Ohio Mushroom Co. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors also include nine children, Larry (Maria) Furr of Lima. Ohio, D. Michael (Glenna) Furr, Howard (Mary Jo) Furr and Peggy (Richard) Winegardener, all of Kenton, Ohio, and Pablo (Brenda) Pinkerton, Mario (Pattie) Moralez, Katrina (David) Bradley, Homer (Tammy Jo) Furr Jr., and Isaac (Laura) Furr, all of Lima, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Melody Criollo of Lima, Ohio; three brothers, Walter (Sylvia) Furr of Kenton, Ohio, Raymond (Virginia) Furr of Cridersville, Ohio and Jack (Carrol) Furr of Lima, Ohio; a sister, Ada K. Chiles of Lima, Ohio; and 28 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Corabella Ellis; a son, Brian Furr; a grandchild; a great-grandchild; five brothers, Sherman Furr, James Furr, Roy Furr, Charles Furr, and Franklin Furr; and a brother-in-law, Donald Chiles. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Gary Hohman will officiate. Burial will be in Preston Cemetery, Alger, Ohio.
