Iola "Pat" Rose Walters,
89, of Lima, Ohio died on Sunday, January 20, 2013, at 2:20 P.M. at Sylvania Care & Rehab Center in Sylvania, Ohio.
Born September 12, 1923 in Gary, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Lee Smith and the late Hazel (Daughtee) Smith.
Iola "Pat" Rose married Charles Bishop Walters, Jr. on December 1, 1945. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2010. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church. She volunteered at Lima Memoial Hospital: and for over 20 years she and her husband had a winter home in Mission, Texas where they enjoyed Square Dancing.
Surviving are: a daughter, Paulette "Polly" (Andy) Anderson of Lima, OH; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Edward Walters; a daughter, Lynda Jean Walters; two brothers, Wayne Smith and Dillard Smith; a step father, Robert Cash.
Visitation will be on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be on Friday, January 25, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Benjamin officiating.
Entombment will be in Memorial Park Mausoleum.
