Jack R. Adams, Sr, 80 of Lima, Ohio died on Wednesday, February 22, 2012, at his residence in Lima.
Born February 14, 1932 in Lima, he was the son of Louis Adams and Harriet Pryor Adams who preceded him in death. On February 6, 1954 he married Rose E. Point who died November 18, 2011.
He served in the Army from 1949 until 1952 and was a veteran of the Korean War.
He retired from Ford Motor Company after 37 years of service and enjoyed caring for his large garden.
Surviving are: two sons, Gary L. (Eve) Adams and Jack R. Adams, Jr. both of Lima; two daughters, Kimberly (Jim Endicott) Eley of Lima, OH and Lori Adams of Spencerville; and a brother, Robert (Virginia) Adams of Lima. Also surviving are six grandchildren; Michael Paul Adams, Jennifer (Casey) Adams-Reynolds, Sara (Bill) Dahill, James Dellinger, Zacheriah Salyer and Jack R. Adams III,; and six great grandchildren, Cole, Noah, Shyanne, Mason, Gauge and Caitlyn Rose
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday February 27, 2012 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with Wanda Werking officiating.
Interment will be in Shawnee Cemetery with graveside military honors by VFW Post #1275 .
The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, February 26, 2012, at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
