Jack Ronald Courtney

Jack Ronald Courtney, 81, passed away at 1:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at St. Rita’s Medical Center in Lima.  Jack was born on May 5, 1939 in Lima, Ohio, to the late Howard Lyle and Sarah Marie (Heinrich) Courtney.

Jack served in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 – 1964.  He retired from Ford Motor Co. in 2003 after 33 years with them.  He was a member of Eagles Aerie #370 and Disabled American Veterans Chapter #43 in Findlay.  He was also a Life Member of VFW Post #1275 and Orioles #173.

He is survived by his fiancé, Mary J. Kundert of Lima; daughter, Cindy Courtney; daughter, Michelle Meitzner; son, Matthew (Sherrie) Courtney; daughter, Deirdre (David) Morgan; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and brothers, Barrie (Mary) Courtney and Howard Courtney.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two grandchildren and his sister Judy Harner.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.   The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m.  Rev. Justin Courtney will officiate.  Burial will be at Cannonsburg Cemetery, Findlay, OH.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The American Lung Association or American Cancer Society.
