Jack R. Myers

Jack R. Myers , 69, went home to be with the Lord at 1:45 AM on Tuesday, February 04, 2014, at St. Rita's Medical Center,

Jack was born on Friday, August 25, 1944, in Lima to the late Harold Essex and Zelma [Myers] Schaub.

On Saturday, April 10, 1965, in Cridersville, he married Carol J [Feldman] Myers and she survives in Lima.

Jack was employed at Rawls, North Dixie Truck and Trailer, Diamond Inc. and retired from Metakote. He was an active member of the Elm Street Church of the Brethern. He was also a member of the Eagles Aerie 370 Lima. He liked going to car shows. He was a big football fan of Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. For the past 30 years he helped build cars for the soapbox derby with his grandkids. He was always helping people out when something needed fixed. Jack also enjoyed filling in for his friends paper route when he was needed. He was a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather and great grandfather.

He is survived by two daughters Lisa (Myers) Cook and Melanie (Myers) Alicea son -Steve (Tiffany) Myers, also surviving are five grandchildren Brian Cook, Jr., Joshua Cook, Austin Myers, Alyssa Myers, Kylee Myers, three Great grandchildren - Braden Cook, Alasjah Cook, Zaidyne Cook, five brothers Roger (Marcia) Essex, Rene (Cindy) Essex, Gary (Lynnette) Essex, Terry (Doris) Essex and Dennis (Tammy) Schaub and a sister Debbie (Roman) Cotterman,

He was preceded in death by a grandson and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday, February 09, 2014 at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. An Eagles Memorial Service will be held at 8:00 P.M.

Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Price officiating

Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery, Lima.
