Jackson “Jack” W. Burklo, 87, passed away at 7:50 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at his home.
Jack was born on April 4, 1937, in Sidney, Ohio, to Thomas Burklo and Velma (Hay) Miller. On June 7, 1960, he married Martha Lou (Nolan) Burklo, who preceded him in death on May 12, 2018.
Jack retired from Lima Correctional Center, where he taught maintenance. He was a member of Masons and was an OSU fan.
He is survived by his son, William “Bill” (Sharon) Burklo; daughter, Beth Castle; four grandchildren: Georgiana, Cyndi, Jennifer, and William; many great-grandchildren; sister, Doris; brother-in-law, Logan Nolan; and extended family member, Glenn (Amber) Neal.
He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; son-in-law, Steve Castle; and siblings: Bob, Donny, Helen, and Rosemary.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 8 p.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025, with a Masonic service at 8 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 12 p.m. on Friday with visitation 1 hour prior. Pastor Mark Gordon will officiate. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida.
