JAMES GORDON "JIM" DELLINGER, 76, died at 8:03 a.m. August 1, 2006, at St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born March 24, 1930, in Lima, Ohio to Harold Andrew and Delia Alice Roe Dellinger, who preceded him in death. He married Deanna June Bany, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Dellinger retired from maintenance and mechanic repair in 1997, from Ford Motor Co. Lima Engine Plant, and had also worked at Steeles, Siferd Hossellman, Superior Coach/Sheller Globe and General Dynamics. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and a loyal employee, who has gone home to be with the Lord. Survivors also include three sons, Paul (Sheri) Dellinger of Cleveland, Tennesse, Doug Dellinger of Lima, Ohio and Scott (Michele) Dellinger of Delphos, Ohio; six grandchildren, Trista, Aaron, James, Cody, Holly and Tyler; and two sisters, Ruth Rogge and Leda Mae Haire, both of Houston, Texas. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Charline Dicus, Mary Catlett and Rose Dellinger; and three brothers, Woodrow Dellinger, John Dellinger and Robert Dellinger. A celebration of life will be held Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Forest Park United Methodist Church. The body has been donated to Science Care, Denver, Colorado.
