James Howell

James V. Howell 63, of Glen St. Mary, Florida, formerly of Lima, Ohio, died at 10:50 a.m. July 24, 2009, at Shands Jacksonville Hospital, Jacksonville, Forida. He was born on June 12, 1946, in Lima, Ohio to James M. and Norma Rose Etter Howell. His father preceded him in death. His mother survives. Mr. Howell was a great father and grandfather. He served in the Navy from June 20, 1963 to July 21, 1967 during the Vietnam War. Survivors also include three daughters, Tammy Wiles, of Jacksonville, Florida, Wendy Brown, of Lake County, Florida, and Shannon Smith, of North Carolina; a son, Troy Howell, of Jacksonville, Florida; six grandchildren, Brandon Howell, Eric Loney, Madison Loney, Corey Brown, Jessie Gagron and Hunter Gagron; six siblings, Linda (Lonnie) McKinney, of Waynesfield, Ohio, Richard (Judy) Howell, of Yorktown, Indiana, Pamela Markham, of Baltimore, Steven (Debra) Howell, of St. Marys, Ohio, and Edward (Trish) Howell and Rose (Rich) Bolender, both of Lima. Ohio; and 11 nephews, six nieces and several great-nieces and ?nephews. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Father David Beck will officiate.
