James A. Lacy,

52, of Lima, died Thursday, February 1, 2018 at his winter home in Venice, Florida. He was born October 14, 1965, in Lima, Ohio to the late Lowell and Jean (Frail) Lacy.

Jim is also survived by Jeff (Lesley) Lacy of Columbus, OH; Karen (Kenny) Elwer of Delphos, OH; Jane (Steve) King of Holland, MI; Bob (Mischelle) Lacy of Lima, OH and Tom (Gena) Lacy of Spencerville. Jim is also survived by an aunt Bettye Jo Frail of Lima. He is also survived by many nieces nephews whom he adored and who also adored him.

Jim is survived by many close friends. Jim never met a stranger. Jim will always be remembered for his smile and his sense of humor and he always liked a good practical joke. Jim was very compassionate and was always willing to lend a hand.

Jim was a longtime sales rep getting his start at Joe Ivison many years ago. From there he went on to a long career as a sales rep for a Document Solutions in Sidney, OH. Jim also had a passion for a residential real estate providing quality family homes to people in the Lima area. Jim graduated from Shawnee High School in 1984 where he had many close friends and excelled in sports.

Memorial donations can be made in Jim’s memory to the American Heart Association. There will be a private burial at a later date.
