James Samuel Mack

James Samuel Mack, 66, passed away at 9:55 p.m. on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Lima Memorial Health System.

Jim was born on September 2, 1956, in Lima, Ohio to William and Viola (Jones) Mack. On May 2, 1981, he married Deborah (Nichols) Mack who survives in Lima.

Jim was a graduate of Elida High School. He loved spending time with his family, watching his grandson play basketball, watching all his grandchildren in their activities, and sprint car races. Jim was also an avid fan of Ohio State, the Cleveland Browns, and the Boston Celtics.

Along with his wife, he is survived by his children, Christina (Patrick) Hensley, and Craig (Stephanie) Mack; grandchildren, Ava, Jake, Jonathon, Kayle, Lorilei, Isabella, Cole, and Sophia; and siblings, Frank (Stacy) Mack, and Pat Mack.

He was preceded in death by his parents and father-in-law, Dean Nichols.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio.  A funeral service will begin at 10 a.m.      on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Elida Athletic Boosters.
