James Robert Stewart,
69, passed away at 11:37 PM on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Lima Memorial Hospital in Lima.
James was born on Sunday, March 23, 1947, in Bluffton, to the late Conner and Clara (Burry) Stewart. On Saturday, November 14, 1970, he married Charlene Zink who survives.
James served in the Army from 1966-1968. He retired from Bobcat of Lima in 2009 after 25 years. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie #370 and the Elks BPOE #54. He was a Director of the Allen County Fair Board since 2006. James was a volunteer at the Lima YWCA Bingo and LCC Bingo.
Other survivors include his sisters, Betty (Art) Carpenter and Ruth Ann (Jerry) Augustine; brothers, Rick (Patty) Stewart and Gary Stewart; mother-in-law, Mary K. Zink; sister-in-law, Charlotte (Kevin) Vangsness; brother-in-law, Jim Zink; special niece and nephew, Kari & Mark Vangsness.
He is preceded in death by: brothers, Conner Stewart and Michael Stewart; sister, Patty Hilty and father-in-law, Linus Zink.
A Celebration of Life will be held at LCC Catholic School Sunday, April 10, 2016 from 2 to 4 P.M. in Quatman Room 2.
