Jane C. Pauff

LIMA - Jane C. Pauff, age 72, died at 2:10 a.m., on October 11, 2014 after an extended battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family at Lost Creek Care Center in Lima, Ohio.

Jane was born on July 22, 1942 in Lima, Ohio to Kirby Eugene and Dorothy Opal Greenup, who have preceded her in death. On November 9, 1963 she married Donald W. Pauff who passed June 8, 2008.

Throughout the years she was employed by Dr. Sigman, Dr. Snow, Duff Truck Line and Plus Health Care Center where she retired after 20 years. During her time at Plus Health Care Center she revamped the entire building with her murals. Kim Kincaid of the Lima News wrote an article about the paintings in The Lima News. She was a member of Altrusa of Lima, served on the Board at Baton Rouge Retirement Community, and served on the Circle of Friends Committee at South Side Christian Church where she was a member. She was also an active member of the Craft Committee at South Side and was instrumental in making many of the Christmas decorations for their yearly Christmas Bazaar.

She is survived by her two children: David (Jill) Pauff of Lima, Ohio and Jennifer (Troy) Whitaker; (5) grandchildren; Wendy Dunlap, Madison Pauff, Megan Warnecke, Claire Warnecke, Makenna Pauff, and a sister, Jill (Ron) Cox, two brothers, John (Kathy) Greenup, James (Deborah) Greenup and in-laws; Frank (Nayna) Pauff, Joe (Frances) Pauff, Jean Pauff (Ken) Cation, James (Suzette) Pauff, and Neil (Deborah) Pauff and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by brother-in-law; Jon Minor Pauff.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 15, at Chamberlain Huckeriede Funeral Home.



A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 16, at Southside Christian Church. Rev. Wanda Werking will officiate. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
