Janice L. Kahler,

88, went home to be with the Lord at 6:54 PM on Thursday, October 27, 2016, at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio.

Janice was born on Friday, July 20, 1928, in Putnam County, to the late Wilbur L. and Mildred M. (Krise) Lentz.

Janice was retired from the United Telephone Company. She loved doing puzzles, playing cards, and she would spend 6 months of the year in Florida with her friends.

She is survived by: daughters, Ann M. (Bill) Snider, Lima, and Roberta (Phil) Myers, Cridersville; son, Keith M. (Tammy) Kahler, Sandusky; sisters, Alice Spallinger, Phoenix, Arizona and Phyllis (Dale) Stiles, Wapakoneta; grandchildren, Jami Manley, Jeremy Kahler, Chris Kahler, Jennifer Falk, Justin Myers, Shane Hunsicker, Shawn Hunsicker, Stephanie Hunsicker and Jill Campbell; great grandchildren, Kelsie, Kalisha, and Kiegh Macklin, Stephen Shroyer, Sarah Rozsnaki, Benjamin Falk, Mark, Michael, Luke, and Levi Campbell, Brayden and Chole Hunsicker, Richie, Juliana, and Katie Scarpelli, Zander Kahler, and Asia, Xavier, and Kera Kahler and two on the way, and her special nephew Dennis Spallinger.

She is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Gerald Spallinger.

The family will receive friends from 2-4PM and 6-8PM on Monday, October 31, 2016 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 11AM on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the funeral home. Pastor Casey Irwin will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
