Janice "Janie" D. Lamping

Janice D. “Janie” Lamping, 71, of Lima, passed away on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at 1:15 am at Wyngate Assisted Living. She was born on July 22, 1947 in Lima to the late Harvey and Evelyn {Williams} Wendel. On June 29, 1969, she married John Lamping, who preceded her in death in 1988.

Janice worked at MAB Paints for 20 years where she was a manager. She also worked for Gary Compton at Edward Jones. She was a Lima Senior graduate and was also a licensed cosmetologist at Venus Beauty Salon.

She is survived by her brother Larry Joseph “Joe” (Virginia) Wendel of Loudenville, TN, sister Judy (Ralph) Albright of Lima, godson Jamie Kruse of Blacklick, OH, special nephew Eddie Albright, several other nieces and nephews, and close friends Joyce Dotson of Wapakoneta and Rita Puthoff of Celina.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law Joyce D. (David) Catlett.

Per her wishes, there will be no services.

The family would like to thank Wyngate for their wonderful care.
