Jay T. Evans, 50, died at 6:05 AM on Sunday, February 9, 2014, at his residence in Lima, Ohio.
Jay was born on January 01, 1964, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Lavern H. Evans and Agnes A. "Aggie" (Ellis) Evans. His mother survives in Elida.

Mr. Evans was a graduate of Marimor School. He enrolled at Marimor Industry, participated in Special Olympics, enjoyed all sports, and music. He was a very friendly person who enjoyed shaking hands.

He is survived by: his brother Paul L. Evans, Elida, OH.

He was preceded in death by: his maternal grandparents John & Agnes Ellis and paternal grandparents Waldo & Mae Evans.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.

A funeral service will begin at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 13, 2014 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, OH. with Pastor Neal Whitney officiating.

Interment will be in Pike Run Cemetery, Gomer, Ohio.
