Jay C. Lucas

Age 94, of Stuart, FL, went home to be with the Lord on the evening of June 2, 2018.

Jay was born September 3, 1923 to the Late Benjamin Harrison and Jessie (Farrow) Lucas. He married the love of his life, Datha Lucas April 25 1945, who preceded him in death June 2002.

Jay was the owner and operator of Lucas Bros Motor Sales & Service whom he partnered with his late brother Gordon. He was a natural born salesman and never met a stranger. His passion for automobiles was only exceeded by his love for his family.  He was committed to his faith to the very end, and will be sorely missed by his family and friends alike.

Jay is survived by two sons Randy (Sandy) Lucas, of Columbus, IN, and Bob (Elise) Lucas, of Palo Alto, CA; eleven grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by two sons Dan Lucas, and Larry Lucas; six siblings Marcella, Elwood, Alberta, Paul, Gordon, and Jenny.

The family will receive friends Friday, June 8, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 at Chamberlain Huckeriede Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 9:00 a.m., at Chamberlain Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Don Nichols will officiate.

Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
