Jean M. Cameron, 81, of Dayton, formerly of Lima, Ohio, died at 5:25 a.m. August 3, 2008, at Sunrise Assisted Living of Oakwood, Dayton, Ohio. She was born August 10, 1926, in Bowling Green, Ohio to Lloyd and Pauline Ward McKelvy, who preceded her in death. On February 21, 1947, she married Tom Rae Cameron in Bowling Green, Ohio and he died September 30, 2001. Mrs. Cameron was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Lima, Ohio, and St. Columbkille Catholic Church, Fort Myers, Florida. She was an avid bridge player and bridge master. She taught bridge, enjoyed golfing, sailing and power boating with her family. Survivors include three sons, Steven (Linda) Cameron and James (Connie) Cameron, both of Fort Myers, Florida, and Peter (Scott Abrams) Cameron, of Columbus, Ohio; three daughters, Christine (John) Fox, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Mary Jean (Tim) Lavender, of Marion, Ohio, and Roberta (Thomas) Willis, of Dayton, Ohio, 10 grandchildren, Stephanie Lastella, Monica Dooley, Valerie Colleti, John Lavender, Andrew Lavender, Mary Cameron, Robert Willis, David Willis, Daniel Willis and Elizabeth Willis; and nine great-grandchildren, Bailey Cameron, Gianna Lastella, Jacob Dooley, Rachel Dooley, Taylor Medlin, Sarah Colleti, Claire Lavender, Collin Lavender, and Jacob Lavender. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. The Rev. David Beck will officiate. Burial will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
