Jean Lacy, 78, died at 11:16 a.m. September 12, 2008, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. She was born August 17, 1930, in Lima, Ohio to O.B. and Mabel Smith Frail, who preceded her in death. On April 8, 1956, she married Lowell Lacy, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mrs. Lacy had been a clerk-typist at the license bureau and had worked at J.C. Penney Co. when it was located in downtown Lima, Ohio. She was a devoted wife, mom and grandma. She enjoyed family get-togethers, spending as much time as possible with her husband of 52 years, her kids and grandkids. Survivors also include four sons, Jeff (Lesley) Lacy, of Columbus, Ohio, Bob (Mischelle) Lacy and Jim Lacy, both of Lima, Ohio, and Tom Lacy, of Tennessee; two daughters, Karen (Kenny) Elwer, of Delphos, Ohio, and Jane (Steve) King, of Holland, Michigan; seven grandchildren, Drew Lacy, Kyle Lacy, Kensey Lacy, Kellen Elwer, Jared Elwer, Kerry King and Neil King; and a sister, Bettye Jo Frail. She was preceded in death by a brother, Darrell ?Skip? Frail. Services will begin at noon Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Dan Huckins will officiate.
