Jeanne (Mack) Meier,
89, of Lima, Ohio, died on Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at 11:40 A.M. at St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima, Ohio.
Born Tuesday, February 27, 1923 in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Mack and the late Katherine (Clifford) Mack.
Jeanne married LeRoy M. Meier on April 25, 1942. He preceded her in death on April 27, 2012. They had been married for 70 years. She was a 1941 graduate of Lima Central High School. She was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and a volunteer at St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry. She was a volunteer at the St. Rita's Thrift Store and was on the WTGN Prayer Chain.
Surviving are: two daughters, Karen (Clarence) Neeper of Lima, OH and Robin (Pete) White of Lima, OH; seven grandchildren, Mike (Lora)Neeper of Delaware, OH; Jon (Chandra Lewis) Neeper of Lima, OH; Marta (Ron) Truex, of Lima, OH; Kurt (Jerilyn) Neeper, of Lima, OH; Brittany White, of Reno, NV; Ashley White, of Reno, NV; Caitlin White of Lima, OH; Zachary White of Lima, OH; and Annelise (Rico) Jones of Cincinnati, OH; eight great grandchildren, Jordan, Christian, and Quinn Neeper, Ethan, Brayden, and Connor Truex, Cameron Hopkins and Chiara Meier
She was preceded in death by: a son, Mike Meier; a daughter, Cathie Ahmed; four brothers, Marlin Mack, John Mack, Ray Mack and Carl Mack, and two sisters, Harriet Morris and Elizabeth Francis.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M.to 8:00 P.M.on Friday, August 17, 2012, at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home and from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 18, 2012, at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be at 10:00 A.M. on August 18, 2012 at the Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home with theFather James Szobonya officiating.
Entombment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery Mausoleum, Lima, Ohio
