Jeannette Metheany

JEANNETTE E. METHEANY, 94, died at 5:10 p.m. December 30, 2006, at Plus Health Care Center. She was born August 25, 1912, in Centerville, Ohio to Jesse E. and Lulu Mull Dill, who preceded her in death. She married Don Temple, who preceded her in death. On July 6, 1956, she married George H. Metheany, who also preceded her in death. Mrs. Metheany was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she had served as treasurer. She was a graduate of Lima Central High School. She adored her cats. She and her husband, George, had traveled extensively throughout the United States. She had many friends during her earlier years and had belonged to several clubs when she was younger. Survivors include a niece, Sherri (George) Gehring, of Peru, Indiana; and her caretakers, Patsy Baylor, Dr. Patricia Freeman and Joyce Williams. She was preceded in death by a brother, Milton Dill. Services will begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Don Byard will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.
