Jennie Sherrick

Jennie K. Sherrick, 97, died at 9:40 a.m. Feb. 20, 2009, at her residence. She was born July 6, 1911, in Decatur, Ga., to Robert A. and Perneller Snow Kelley, who preceded her in death. On Feb. 12, 1949, she m a r r i e d H a r o l d Amos Sherrick, who died Feb. 21, 1972. Mrs. Sherrick was a member of Elida Immanuel United Methodist Church since 1952. She was a former trustee and member of its Women?s Society. Survivors include a half sister, M. Clyde Wheelis, of Stone Mountain, Ga.; a niece, Terri Brauneller, of Findlay; and her extended family, Larry (Linda) Bryan, Chad (Susan) Bryan, Dylan and Cody Bryan, Nicole (Craig) Holcomb, and Trevor and Danielle Crouch, all of Elida. She was preceded in death by a half sister, Ruth Baskette; a brother, J. Henry Kelley; and dear friend, Sally Bryan. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel United Methodist Church. Dr. Michael Jenkins and Pastor Gary Rode will officiate. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery, Elida. Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home.
