Jerome G. Hoehn, 77, died at 8:38 p.m. November 15, 2010, at St. Rita?s Medical Center. He was born January 19, 1933, in Ottoville, Ohio to Leo and Regina Gerkin Hoehn, who preceded him in death. On April 15, 1961, he married Mary Ann Schnipke, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Hoehn was a 1951 graduate of St. John?s High School, Lima. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving from 1951 to 1955. He had been a brick mason for Peterson Construction and then H.U. Tuttle Construction, retiring after 25 years. Following his retirement he worked in the salad division of I & K Distributors, Delphos, for 10 years, and at County Market for three years. He was a member of St. Gerard Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. He was a member of Brick Masons Local 35, the International Brick Masons and American Legion Post 96. Survivors also include two sons, Randy (Michelle) Hoehn, of Antwerp, and Kevin Hoehn, of Lima; two grandchildren, Ashley Hoehn, of Gahanna, and Little Randell Hoehn, of Antwerp; two brothers, Norbert Hoehn and Kenneth (Jenny) Hoehn, both of Lima; and a sister, Marianne Hoehn, of Lima. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hubert and Lavern Hoehn; and two sisters, Dolly Ibbitson and Ruth Pangle. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gerard Catholic Church. Burial will be at a later date in Gethsemani Cemetery.
