JERRY C. MARSHALL, 74, died August 9, 2005, at his residence. He was born December 25, 1930, in Manton, Ky., to Clayton and Maggie Webb Marshall, who preceded him in death. On April 27, 1953, he married Rita Binkley, who survives in Lima, Ohio. Mr. Marshall had been a director of the painting press from Rockwell International, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He attended First Assembly of God. He was a member of American Legion Post 96 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1275, where he served on the burial detail for several years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, serving from September 17, 1948, to May 16, 1952. Survivors also include three sons, Randall (Keith) Sandy Marshall of Spencerville, Ohio, Roger Lee Marshall of Waterloo, Illinois, and Jerry C. (Anita) Marshall Jr. of Harrod, Ohio; three daughters, Roxanne (Gary) Hopkins of Lima, Ohio, Rhonda "Sue" (Robert) Smith of West Mansfield, Ohio and Patty (Calvin) Carpenter of St. Louis; and 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Randall Marshall Jr.; two brothers, Charles and Donald Marshall; and a sister, Alma Cunningham. Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Jon Spyker will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, with military rites by VFW Post 1275.
