Jerry Moon
74, died at 10:56 AM on Monday, July 11, 2016, at his residence in Lima, Ohio.

Jerry was born on October 22, 1941, in Hicksville, Ohio, to the late Norman Moon and Marian (Shull) Moon Oatman. On Saturday, February 10, 1962, in Van Wert, Ohio, he married Thelma Parsons. She survives in Lima.

Jerry was a construction worker who worked out of Labor Local Union 329 AFL-CIO. He was a member of the American Legion Post 96.

He is survived by three sons, Jeffrey ( Jenny) Moon, DuPrie (Karen) Moon, and Hewart (Shannon) Moon; seven grandchildren, Alesia, Morgan Moon, Duprie Moon, II, Darien Moon, Madaline Moon, Austin Moon, Brittany Moon and four great grandchildren; one brother, Douglas Lynn (Mary) Moon.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Vicki Hunt.

No public services will be held.

Interment will be in Dayton National Cemetery, Dayton Ohio at a later date.
