Joan Davis

JOAN MAY DAVIS, 75, died at 2:45 a.m. Sept. 4, 2005, at Beverly Health Care Center. She was born Nov. 7, 1929, in Galion to Edward M. and Marjorie Hoke Wheatcraft, who preceded her in death. Mrs. Davis had worked at The Leader Department Store. She had attended the Cincinnati School of Art, where she majored in fashion design. Survivors include a son, Bruce Edward (Barbara) Davis of Broken Arrow, Okla.; and two granddaughters, Mindy Sehl of Edmonds, Okla., and Audrey Davis of Broken Arrow, Okla. She was preceded in death by a son, Scott Alton Davis, who died in 1972. Graveside services will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Canton.
