82, died at 10:00 PM on Monday, October 28, 2013, at her residence in Lima, Ohio.
Joann was born on July 26, 1931, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Clarence May Sr. and Mary J. (Thompson) May.
Joann married David E. Clark on June 1, 1952, who preceded her in death in 1985. She was a member of South Side Christian Church. Prior to her retirement with Ohio State University-Lima, Mrs. Clark had worked at West Ohio Gas and Meadow Gold Dairy. She enjoyed reading, and crocheting. The family would like to thank the caregivers from Interim Health Care, Jessica and the nurses from St. Rita's Hospice for the loving care they provided.
She is survived by: two daughters, Debra Albertson, of Lima, OH, and Sandra (Wade) Long, of Lima, OH, four grandchildren, Jonathan (Heather) Albertson, Jennifer (Michael) Rope, Julie (Matt) Klaus, and Toree (Aaron) Butler; seventeen great grandchildren, Hayden, Channing, Ella, Bree, Victoria, Matt, George, Richard, Elizabeth, Jacob, Meghan, Maggie, Jackson, Ashton, Brock, Colby, and Aiden; two brothers Clarence May Jr., and Ralph (Marge) May; several nephews & nieces.
She was preceded in death by: a son-in-law Thomas B. Albertson, a brother Robert (Eloise) May and a sister-in-law Viola May.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 31, 2013 at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home in Lima, Ohio.
A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 01, 2013 at South Side Christian Church with Rev. Wanda Werking officiating.
Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lima, Ohio.
