90, died at 7:45 AM on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Otterbein Cridersville Nursing Facility in Cridersville, Ohio.
JoAnn was born on May 16, 1924, in Lima, Ohio, to late Frank McClain and Ruth (Eckhardt) McClain.
JoAnn married Earl "Rocky" Kimpel Jr. on September10, 1945. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2011. She was employed as a part time secretary while raising their sons. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church and most recently St. Matthew's Lutheran Church.. She was also a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by: a son, Dan (Nick Nishimoto) Kimpel, of Los Angeles, CA; a daughter-in-law, Louise Kimpel, of Perrysburg, OH; a grandchild, Jamie (Rosalinda) Kimpel, of Toledo, OH
She was preceded in death by a son, Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Kimpel, a grandchild, Michael David Kimpel, a brother, Kent McClain and a sister, Dorothy Councilman.
A graveside service will begin at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at St. Matthews Cemetery. Rev. James Couser will officiate.
