95, died at 2:20 AM on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Otterbein Cridersville Assisted Living in Cridersville.
Joe was born on February 20, 1922, in Rimer, Ohio, to the late John Joe Sobosly Sr. and Mary Sobosly. He married Ethel (Schaad) Sobosly. She preceded him in death on September 10, 2013.
He was a WWII Navy Veteran. He retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1982 as a machinist. He was a member of the UAW Retirees and enjoyed walking the aisles of at Menards, Lowes and Home Depots.
He is survived by two daughters, Carol (Robert) Evans of Ada, and Cathy (Scott) DePoy of Gibsonia, PA; two grandchildren, Dana (Carol) Evans, and Jaime (Brent) Dye; two great grandsons, Brayden Dye and Jordan Grace and a sister Helen Hamilton of Kenton.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Steve and George Sobosly and sisters, Mary Lucas, Betty Jackson and Julie Ann Tyre.
The family will receive friends from 10:30 to 11 AM on Friday, March 24, 2017 followed by a graveside funeral service at Memorial Park Mausoleum, Lima, Ohio. Pastor Robert Dye will officiate.
