Joel Felkey

Joel G. Felkey , 74, died at 5:33 p.m. April 23, 2009, at Parkview Memorial Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana. He was born November 24, 1934, in Kalida, Ohio to Merle G. and Norma Siniff Felkey, who preceded him in death. On January 16, 1953, he married Charlene McClain, who survives in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Mr. Felkey was retired from VME, Elkhart, Ind. Before that, he worked for Clark Equipment/BLH, Lima. He was a member of Eagles Aerie 370. Survivors also include three daughters, Jill (William) Lee, of Greenfield, Kim (Stan) Sciranka, of Elida, Ohio, and Jodi Felkey, of Indianapolis, Indiana; a son, Scott Felkey, of Royal Oak, Micigan; a brother, Gary (Carol) Felkey, of Lima, Ohio; and four grandchildren, Brandon Lee, Alisha Lee, Sarah (Brian) Siebeneck and Marissa Sciranka. He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Jared McClain Sciranka. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Monday at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Pastor Brandon Lee will officiate. Burial will be in Pike Run Cemetery, Gomer. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
